Hawaii International Film Festival
While I’m giving shout outs, a fat aloha to the Hawaii International Film Festival as well for hosting God Went Surfing With the Devil last week.

Thank you Seville for flying me out. Such a beautiful city. I brought a camera and then forgot it in my room three days in a row, for which I should be pelted with hot bars of Mr. Zogs Sex Wax.

Special thanks to the New York Surf Film Festival and everyone who came to the screening for God Went Surfing With the Devil. It was such a great festival and really fun to meet and hang with fellow members of the surf community.
It was also a treat to screen the new (happy!) ending to the film…

Ajami
Three cheers for our friend/Jaffa resident Tony Copti who appears in the excellent and highly touted film “Ajami” (in theatres now), co-directed by his brother Scandar.
Tony appears briefly in God Went Surfing With the Devil and was our invaluable guide to Jaffa, making sure no gangsters/cops shot us or beat us up (see ‘Ajami’ for more on this).

NEW SHOWTIME!
The SBIFF just added a new showtime for the film.
It will screen Thursday, 10 am at the Arlington Theater, 1317 State Street.
Santa Barbara International Film Festival
We will be screening the film in Santa Barbara!
The first screening is February 8 (Monday) at 4pm at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.
The second screening is February 13 (Saturday) at 9:30 pm at Victoria Hall.
